FFO: Peace, Foals, The Vegan Leather
Cardiff based trio We’re No Heroes are back with their latest single Youth, set to be officially released via Spiral Icon records on the 1st September. They’ve had success with past tracks Voodoo and Stay Weird on BBC Radio 1 and BBC Wales, and have been playlisted as Artist of the Week for Absolute Radio, and Radio X. With a series of notable support slots under their belts for the likes of Peace, Public Service Broadcasting, and Catfish and The Bottlemen, as well as performances at Liverpool Sound City, Truck Festival, and Dot To Dot, We’re No Heroes are quickly establishing a name for themselves. I’ve had the privilege of getting to listen to their latest single Youth before its officially released this September and I can wholeheartedly tell you that it’s a track you’ll have on repeat. There’s a constant groove throughout the track, shifty disco beats and syncopated guitars are coupled with one of the funkiest of basslines. They have a lot in common with some of the sounds of the earlier years of the millennium than they do with most of their contemporaries and it’s invigorating to hear.
We’re No Heroes are onto something big here, I see a lot of potential in them and you probably should too. Youth is released on the 1st of September, but you can listen to a very short preview below, as well as some of their previously released tracks in the meantime.
